Nyborg has always been a crossroads - a place you had to pass through to get from one end of the country to the other. It was such an important town that several regents used extensive resources to plan, expand and fortify it. Our project's heart-shaped logo refers both to the town's planned shape and to the hearts in the Danish coat-of-arms. The logo is red and gold because they were the colours of the Oldenborg dynasty, who lived for many generations at Nyborg Castle. They were buried in Odense, where the diocese (church leadership on Funen) had its headquarters.
